De-privatising practice – opening up classrooms, practice, and discussion – involved teachers looking at themselves as inquirer and learner. Here they share reflections on the action research within their classrooms for themselves and their students.
We wanted to de-privatise and open up the classroom so teachers are willing to freely discuss their practices with other teachers. We achieved this through action research – looking at the teacher as an inquirer and learner themselves.

This tool is about the need for de-privatised practice – teachers openly and honestly discussing both their successes and challenges in teaching – as an important element of teacher learning about emphasising key competencies in their programmes.
