These tools are about involving parents and whānau in teaching and learning – the ideas will require adapting to your own students and school contexts.
The first tool outlines some considerations for planning the approach to involving parents and whānau. These could be points of discussion at a staff or syndicate meeting.
The second tool outlines some ideas for teachers to support the involvement of parents and whānau.
It seeks to go beyond just telling them what is happening, or even asking what they think, to getting them involved in teaching and learning.
